By manufacturing method, square bar can be produced:
By hot rolling - on rolling mills. In terms of precision, square bar is divided into high-precision and standard. The greater the number of passes through the rolls, the higher the precision of the hot-rolled square bar.

Cold rolling - or the drawing method - the square billet is compressed by rolls and drawn through the required shape of the die, followed by high-precision finish grinding of the surface.
Forging - carried out under the influence of high temperatures and pressures. The products obtained have high strength, which is why they are used as blanks in the manufacture of elements and parts subjected to high temperatures, for example - steam turbine blades.
