On October 1, BPM PC Strand welcomed representatives of the National Congress of Ukrainians of Moldova (NCUM) and UNHCR Moldova to its production site in Chișinău. The visit focused on employment opportunities for Ukrainian refugees and possible areas of further cooperation with the private sector.
The meeting was attended by Irina Basiul, representing NCUM in partnership relations, and Natalia Curnic, Development Officer at UNHCR Moldova. During the visit, the guests toured BPM PC Strand’s production facilities and discussed possible practical areas of interaction with the company.
One of the key topics was the professional integration of Ukrainian refugees in the Republic of Moldova. BPM expressed its readiness to consider candidates referred through NCUM under the same employment and remuneration conditions as other company employees.
The parties also discussed possible formats for further interaction between BPM, NCUM and UNHCR Moldova, as well as the role of Moldova’s industrial sector in regional development and infrastructure reconstruction projects.
The meeting created a basis for continuing the dialogue and identifying practical areas of cooperation.
